Is insect poison in traps harmful to dogs if ingested?

We have set a couple of traps around the house to catch this one bug that has been in our house for too long. My brother was replacing them and accidently spilled some posion onto the floor. My doggie sniffed it and ate some. Is it harmful to her?????????
