Long time without a girlfriend?

So I'm 22 years old and still haven't had a girlfriend. I had one for a short while a few years ago, but I don't count that. I'm completely straight and not a loser or anything, I'm just picky and don't love people in general because they can be so untrustworthy and such phonies. There have only been a couple girls I have ever actually had feelings for. I liked these girls because they were attractive, had cool personalities, and seemed trustworthy, as well as had a good connection with them. These girls all had boyfriends though. Up to about the ago of 20, I really didn't give a **** about being in a relationship. I saw so many people who were in one that just was going sour or was so fake and disgusting. I also didn't like too many girls in my high school. Now I'm out in the real world and I would really like a girlfriend. I've been so patient and I've met a lot of girls who couldn't believe I didn't have a girlfriend, but now I'm going to try to really find that right girl, although it seems like everyone is in a relationship now. So just out of curiousity, are there any other people around my age who are in my same situation and still haven't had a partner yet?
